What better than begin your journey from a place that is etched in history? Named after the 260 year old Kashibai Temple, the Kashibai Chowk is a prominent & hard to miss junction on the Arnori-Nagpur Highway. This is the perfect start point for you and your ride companions.
Take a detour from history, for a chance to share space with Nagpur’s Majestic Tigers in the Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary. Situated along the Arnori-Nagpur Highway, this safari stretches to about 189 sq kms. Don’t worry about your bikes as you will find ample parking space here!
Hop on board your ride and let’s get back on track with history! Set out for Bhiwapur via the smooth and beautiful roads of Arnorni Nagpur Highway. Visit the 1300 year old Bhima Devi Temple, where you can explore the historic ruins belonging to the 8th and 11th century AD.
Your riding prowess will be tested here, as you navigate through the twisted and tight cornered roads leading to Nagbhid. This mysterious town’s foundation has no official records and remains an unsolved mystery till date. If you’re looking at solving the mystery, then take a look into the 10,000-year-old cave paintings situated on the Nagbhid-Persagad Hill.
Here is where civilization catches up with history. This modern town is famous due to the Somnath Temple and Amtepharm. The roads split over here, take the Saoli Godpipari fork. The scenery just gets better as you begin the final ascent towards your destination.
Continue onto Saoli Road, to find yourself riding alongside Wainganga River to reach Markanda. Home to the Mahadev Temple, its exquisite beauty is often compared to Khajuraho, while its historic reverence will leave you awestruck.
