Continue onto the NH 48 and navigate your way to Arcot to relish one of the best Biryanis in the country! Visit the Arcot Biryani House and indulge in the spicy rice dish served along with a Brinjal curry called Kathirikai Serwa.

At the turn onto NH 38 at Saidapet, the grand old fortress of Vellore welcomes you. The 16th century fort is a must visit! After exploring the fort on foot, you must have worked up a King’s appetite. Head over to any restaurant to devour the mouth watering Thalappakatti Biriyani! Pack up some to take home, because once you return, you are sure to crave for more!

Madras Motor Race Track

The Vellore Fort is the most important building in Vellore. More than 400 years old, the fort still stands tall. It has many unique features like granite walls, a moat and a network of tunnels, which are not seen in most other Indian forts across the country.
Also called the Periyar Park, the Fort Park has a 7-km long skating rink, where one can see formation skaters practise their skills every morning and evening.
