The Petrol bunk on Sankey road is a good place to group up for this journey. Get your bike fueled up and air pressure checked at the petrol bunk. Grab some south indian breakfast from the restaurant across the road before starting this journey.
A small town in Tumkur which is famous for Stud farms established by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan to train war horses. Now the stud farms are used for breeding race horses. A visit to the farms is a must! You may forget your bike and ride the horse.
Shravanabelagola is where the 59 feet high Gommateshwara statue is situated which was built in 981 AD. It’s considered one of the world’s biggest monoliths. Once a patch of barren land and now one of Hassan’s main tourist attraction, Gendekatte wildlife sanctuary has gone through a major transformation. From spending time in the rock garden and walk around the park to feeding the deers roaming around, Gendekatte has a lot of offer hence making it a worthwhile stop.
Famous for its Hoysala architecture which was built during the 11th and 14th century. So drive around Hassan and visit the beautifully carved Bucesvara as well as the Shettihalli church which gets submerged in the Hemavathi reservoir during the monsoons.
