A perfect start point for your friends to group together as it is at a major connecting the Eastern and Western parts of Mumbai. It has a decent restaurant, a huge parking lot, washrooms, an ATM and a shopping mall.
Once you take the NH 8, the roads gradually widen up until you reach the newly-built Naigaon flyover. The road leading up to Vasai Creek Bridge on both sides have heavy traffic, so plan to leave early in the morning.
The NH 8 road widens out nicely as you reach the northern tip of Mumbai. There will be a lot of traffic here, so it is best for you and your crew to ride in a single-line formation. Fuel up, in case you still haven’t.
As you reach Manor you hit some smooth curves, where you can really test your cornering skills. Stop at one of the road-side tea-stalls here and re-group since you have another 100 kms to go. The hills and the beautiful roads make it the perfect place for pictures!
The Charoti Toll Naka is famous for one thing. Superbikes and food. Oops, that makes it two. We definitely recommend having Misal-Pav at one of the restaurants near the toll plaza.
All fueled up and charged, the best part of the ride is yet to begin. The roads toward the expansive, 8-lane Gujarat border toll plaza are delicious, to be honest. Fast straights, tight bends, and lovely curves, all along the way.
Watch out for a road sign that points to the left, on the road to Vapi. Past the railway crossing, the road turns into a go-kart track. Enjoy the beautiful canopies, the twists and the dip in the temperature!
When you see this spot, the joyride is about to end and the beautiful Union Territory is about to begin. If you have a Maharashtra number plate, the police might stop you here for a routine check. Just a small price to pay for a lovely weekend ahead.
If you plan to explore a bit of Daman, then we suggest you ride from Jampore to Devka Beach and enjoy some amazing Sea Food at any of the local restaurants. Of course, if you are a vegetarian, the Dhoklas and Fafdas will blow your mind.
