Take the Jaipur-Kishangarh expressway towards Ajmer. The drive is smooth on the six-lane highway with farmlands on either side.
The largest city on the route, Ajmer, is a 2.5-hour drive from Jaipur.
Pali, our next stop and a historical trade centre of Marwar region, is a 3-hour drive from the spiritual city of Ajmer. Take the National Highway 58 out of Ajmer towards Beawar and National Highway 162 from Beawar to Pali.
Passing through small towns and cities such as Gundoj, Sumerpur and Sirohi one reaches the foot of the plateau. A few km from Sirohi is Pandoori, the start of ascent to Mount Abu. After a short winding ride through hilly terrain, the beauty and allure of Mount Abu is revealed. Home to the beautiful Dilwara Temples, a complex of temples carved out of white marbles between the 11th and 13th centuries. People in search of pristine flora and fauna will find Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary a compelling option. The place is dotted with shops selling a variety of souvenirs and local goods.
